Rained Out!
We arrived in Suffield, had a good warm up, completed our presentations, and started our doubles matches just as it started to sprinkle. Our number 1 doubles (Louis & Charlie) took a quick, commanding lead in their match despite the slippery conditions; our number 2 group (Daniel & Blake) did the same; and groups 3 & 4 (Oliver & Teddy; Charley & Ray) were either neck-and-neck or just behind, when the rain began to fall in such a way as to make continuing impossible.
Unfortunately, Suffield's new tennis center, which includes a small building overlooking the courts, was not furnished with table tennis equipment, or the boys certainly would have kept up the competition indoors. On the way home, they vociferously demanded we reschedule!
