CES - Sutter '25

Sutter’s father, an avid falconer since the family’s time in Dubai, introduced him to the pastime early on.

For his CES project, Sutter decided to advance his own falconry journey by trapping and training a red-tailed hawk. He monitored a trap in his yard closely, knowing a captured hawk could injure itself trying to escape. The only hawk he caught was too young to keep legally, but the experience boosted his confidence to try again. He hopes his CES presentation—featuring his family’s hawk—inspires others to explore falconry and perhaps revive Millbrook's former falconry club.
