Molly’s CES led her to rethink her goals as an artist, including the role of art in her life at Millbrook and beyond. Having painted during all four years at Millbrook, she found working independently, outside of a class, to be the most challenging and exhilarating. For her CES, Milly worked on an eight-foot-high canvas to create an abstract piece with vibrant colors and forms. The sheer scale of the piece is as significant as any meaning to be discerned from its content, and Molly’s CES reinforced her love of abstract painting during a challenging year.
