Bringing Art to Life: Animation Recreation of My Past Paintings
An honors painter, Tracy’s work often shows a stillness in things usually in motion.
Using technology, her CES returned motion to some of her most successful paintings, including a goldfish in a pool of light-dappled water, a figure in front of the chapel, and, most evocative, a torrent of water rushing down the steps between the Holbrook Arts Center and Schoolhouse. Tracy painstakingly returned movement to the scenes by animating her work: the fish swam, and water cascaded down the bricks. Tracy’s painting has been a meaningful part of her Millbrook experience, and her innovative reimagining of her work reveals the artist she has become.
