CES - Biz & Natalie '21

For their CES, Exploring Makeup as an Art Form, Biz and Natalie joined forces to produce a series of makeup looks and photographs that expressed both the soul of the subject and the artistic intent of the applied makeup. Biz brought her ideas to life on the faces of student and faculty volunteers, sometimes in garish and exaggerated color and other times with subtlety and grace. Natalie’s portraits were evocative and intense, challenging the viewer to look closely enough to consider the person beneath the makeup and to see the photograph as both a record and a statement.
