Culminating Experience for Seniors

The Culminating Experience for Seniors (CES) is Millbrook’s capstone program, required for all VIth form students and post-graduates (PGs) earning a Millbrook diploma and encouraged for other PGs. CES gives students the chance to explore interests beyond Millbrook’s regular academics, athletics, and activities, or to deepen expertise in a chosen field.

Before winter break, students propose projects that reflect their curiosity and goals. From January to April, they work on their projects—completing at least fifteen hours—while meeting with their CES group and faculty advisor during Saturday Programming to share updates and get feedback. In May, students present their work in a TED Talk–style format at the CES Festival. Faculty support the program year-round. The core team reviews proposals and mentors projects, and individual faculty serve as subject experts, public speaking coaches, or festival judges.
