CES - Zoumana '25

Zoumana’s passion for basketball began in childhood, watching his older brother play in New York City tournaments.

Wanting to share that experience, he organized Millbrook’s May Madness, a co-ed three-on-three tournament for students who did not play at the varsity level. With his varsity teammates as coaches, Zoumana promoted the event, studied coaching methods, and held a combine for player scouting. The tournament’s success fostered community, leadership, and coaching skills. To ensure the tradition continues, he created a plan book for future organizers.
