Weekends Around Campus
There are always a variety of activities on campus every weekend - shopping trips to nearby malls, outings to quaint nearby towns like Millerton, NY, special movie showings, all-school dances, food fests, rollerskating excursions, hiking trips, and much, much more.
We also encourage students to participate in activities that reinforce their Millbrook academic, arts, and athletic programs. Among these might be community service opportunities, outdoor adventures, scientific study at nearby colleges and research facilities, visual and performing arts programs, and sports-related programs.
Spirits are especially high during several special weekends throughout the year. Fall Fest and Spring Carnival are packed with games and musical entertainment, and Winter Weekend brings the campus alive with dorm colors, cheers, and intense competitive spirit!

Winter Weekend
Winter Weekend is a spirited, competitive, and creative all-school event where the best strategy, teamwork, and energy ultimately resulting in one dorm being named Winter Weekend Champions!
The weekend gets crazy with competition and the campus gets colorful with dorm pride décor and colors. Contests include a pep rally cheer, Jeopardy-style College Bowl, scavenger hunt, rounds of pillow polo, a whipped-cream-pie-eating bubblegum-chewing competition, dorm videos, airband performances, and more! It's an all-in, give-it-all-you-got, fierce competition that ultimately brings the entire school together in one of the best weekends of the year.
Fall Fest & Spring Carnival
Other premiere events that are big weekends on campus include Fall Fest and Spring Carnival. Students fill the entire quad encircled by games, inflatables, food, and fun activities. From dunk tanks to cookie or pumpkin decorating to donut and pie-eating competitions to enjoying a burger fresh off the Case Hall grill, these celebratory events bring the entire school together in a relaxed and completely enjoyable environment often accented by student-performed music on the chapel steps.
International Student Trips
Some breaks aren't quite long enough for some of our students from abroad to return home. So, while their local classmates visit family, international students spend time bonding on short trips around the U.S. These faculty-shaperoned excursions have included visits to museums and amusement parks in places like historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and sunny Florida.
