Michael has been conducting research in organic chemistry at Yale since August 2024. He previously studied chemistry at ETH Zurich in Switzerland and completed both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.

the interface of chemistry and biology, with a particular focus on developing new drugs through small molecule-induced protein interactions.
His interests extend beyond academia into European and German politics. In 2025, he worked in the European Parliament, gaining experience in political research and parliamentary affairs. He is also a founding member of the European Academic Foundation, an initiative to build a European network of academic excellence and mentorship.
Previously, he co-founded Starcode e.V., which provides free programming courses for girls and promotes greater gender equality in computer science.
