Dr. Yixin "Arthur" Xiao '15
Independent Researcher
During his graduate studies at the University of Michigan, Dr. Yixin Xiao "Arthur" was immersed in cutting-edge research on semiconductor materials, working on III-nitride nanostructured devices, including optoelectronic and artificial photosynthesis devices. Arthur and his team successfully produced the most efficient sub-micrometer red LED to date, a breakthrough with potential applications in cell phone and virtual and augmented reality displays.
Recently, he has been exploring how machine learning methods can advance foundational understanding of our material world.
