I chose Amherst partly because it’s close to home, and because I'm playing basketball there, I want family and friends to be able to come support me. The small, welcoming environment also drew me in. On my first visit, everyone was warm and supportive, and it almost felt like Millbrook. I’m excited to build bonds, set new goals, and chase achievements on the court and in the classroom. 

Millbrook really prepared me by giving me space to grow and learn from mistakes, with teachers and friends always ready to help. I’ve gained independence and confidence in reaching out for support when I need it, and I will continue to develop relationships with my professors at Amherst.
