As a zoo curator at Millbrook, I chose Tufts for its pre-vet program—I want to keep working with animals. I’m also excited for the freedom of college life: meeting new people, making more friends, and exploring more opportunities. Millbrook helped me become more extroverted. I’m pretty shy, and in my school in China, students rarely spoke in class. But in my high school years here, we discussed topics, shared perspectives, and really connected. I’ve come to love learning about people and building those relationships.

I’ve also taken classes that I know will help me in college—like BC Calculus. It was challenging all year, but Mr. Turner made it fascinating. I’ve never had such a close bond with both a teacher and classmates. That class was unforgettable, and I’ll carry those memories with me.
