Skylar Mahaffey '19
Senior Project Manager, Richard E. McCue, Inc.
Skylar Mahaffey is a member of Millbrook School’s Class of 2019 and a graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. During her undergraduate years, she also attended the University of Tampa and spent a year living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Both cities broadened her perspective and helped shape her personal and professional outlook.
At 25, Skylar serves as a senior project manager at Richard E. McCue, Inc., based in Lakeville, Connecticut. She manages the construction of luxury custom homes throughout the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires, working closely with architects, engineers, and clients to bring complex projects to life. Her role spans both new construction and large-scale renovations. She is deeply involved in budgeting, bidding, and daily oversight to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.
In 2022, Skylar served as a Business Development Representative Intern at ReliaQuest in Tampa, Florida, where she gained valuable sales experience and refined her interpersonal and communication skills. While in college, she also worked as a waitress, further developing the people-focused skills that continue to serve her in her career today.
Originally from Amenia, New York, Skylar remains rooted in the Hudson Valley and is passionate about contributing to its evolving landscape. She aspires to grow within her company and eventually take on a leadership role in its future. Outside of work, Skylar enjoys outdoor activities, renovating her home in Ancram, New York, and spending time with her cats.
