When I came to Millbrook, I became more active, so Colgate’s hills, forests, and athletic opportunities instantly appealed to me, especially rugby, which I started this year and love. I also like the smaller school feel, where you really know your teachers and classmates and can build lasting relationships.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned at Millbrook is to never give up. I used to quit—like football my freshman year—but senior year I came back, became a starter, earned an award, and made an impact. Even if you step away at first, you can rebuild and return stronger. I’ll also miss the sense of family here. At Millbrook, people truly care about being known and needed; it’s a feeling visitors notice the moment they arrive.
