Mustangs Defeated by Canterbury, 3-1

The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey team lost to Canterbury, 3-1, on a sunny and warm Wednesday afternoon. The Mustangs came out sluggish and tentative and looked stunned when the Saints scored in the eighth minute. A second Canterbury goal put the Saints up 2-0 at halftime. The Mustangs looked a bit better after halftime, but Canterbury used quick transitions and hustle to add a third goal. After finally starting to wake up and threatening for a while, the Mustangs finally got on the board with four minutes to go when Chloe Robinson '19 knocked it home. However, despite having the ball in the Canterbury circle for much of the rest of the game, Millbrook couldn't cut the lead any further. The Mustangs have much to learn from this game and will look to have a good week of practice before the next contest.
