The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey team fell to Berkshire, 0-1, in the Mustangs' homer opener on a wet and windy Wednesday afternoon. It was a taut, intense affair, with the bulk of play happening from 25 to 25. In the first half, neither side was able to break through and the score was knotted at 0-0 headed into the second. Midway through the second half, however, Millbrook's level dropped just enough to give Berkshire an opening. The Bears won a few corners, and one ended with the ball deflecting from stick to foot to goal. The Mustangs didn't quite click as much as we wanted to on offense and couldn't get one back. Patricia Smith '17 notched seven saves and had a fine game in goal. The Mustangs look to learn from the game and have a good end of the week in practice to get ready for Williston at home on Saturday.
