Millbrook Drops Game 2 to Kent

Millbrook traveled to Kent on Friday afternoon for our second meeting of the season. Coming out of our last head to head with Kent, we had two goals: 1) adjust to faster pitching and 2) play clean defense. We played clean defense, but Kent was able to string together some solid hitting to take the 10-0 win. While we weren’t able to get a rally going or plate any runs, we were able to put the bat on the ball much more effectively.

Shout outs to:
-Kelly Naula ‘24 for playing lights out defense in centerfield with four key catches (including two line drives) to shut down the Kent rallies
-Jaicee Downs ‘26 for some good overhead catches at shortstop
-Neva Gunderston ‘26 for stepping in at second and having good coverage
-Ingrid Schmitt ‘26 for having some great stretches at first to secure some key outs
-the original Coach Peterson (Dad!) for making the trip up to coach with us today

We look forward to hosting Marianapolis tomorrow at home.
