A fiery contest between two rivals ended with the Mustangs on top by a slim but nonetheless meaningful margin on Saturday. The usual suspects played their best, with Tommy Burke '20 going 13 for 15 at the faceoff X, and Mike Nassif '20 and the stellar defensive core allowing only 13 shots on-cage. 8 of those shots were saved by Nassif.
Burke added one on the offensive end with a coast-to-coast faceoff goal, but the motor of the offense was Ethan Kessler '22, who finished with two unassisted goals and one assist. Even on possessions where he didn't score or assist, Kessler was constantly opening opportunities for the offense with blistering dodges and skillful cuts. Henry Attias '19, Robbie Roberts '20, and Connor Bressette '21 rounded out the rest of the stat sheet for a total of 6 goals.
The Mustangs look forward to Berkshire on Wednesday 5/15 and will compete for the division championship next Wednesday with Albany Academy. Both games are home.
