Playing four matches in under twenty-four hours is a difficult feat, and it was clear our legs were a bit tired today. Nevertheless we managed to put in some solid performances. Louis Thomas was very close to taking his number one singles match (a real, high-level thriller), and Daniel Yang and Blake Aston both found success against challenging opponents. Blake also sealed the deal in his doubles match with Oliver Lamb, coming from behind to cinch it in the tiebreak.
Note: Due to the rain, all our matches were confined to Kent's impressive indoor facility, which houses only three courts. We therefore decided to play all matches, including singles, in the format of an eight-game proset so as to fit them all into our usual three-hour window. Additionally, Kent only had six players available, so our numbers seven and eight, Ray Kim and Charley Li, were granted a day of rest.
