The Mustangs came out strong against Albany in the first round of the Empire Cup and had plenty of chances the grab the lead early but the AA goalie was outstanding all night. Albany scored two quick goals at the end of the first period and two short-handed goals at the end of the second to seal the deal. The Mustangs still kept coming and they had their chances but it wasn't to be as Albany advances to play Brunswick in the finals. Cole Hayward had 22 saves in loss.
