Girls Squash Takes 2nd in New England Tournament
The Lady Mustangs came out to really play squash as Millbrook hosted a New England squash tournament for the first time.
The girls Class "C" tournament was an eight team affair with the following schools in attendance: Millbrook, Canterbury, Ethel Walkers, Green Farms, Holy Child, Kent, Newton Country Day, and Williston. All of our girls played their best squash of the season and finished a very strong second, only two points from the championship.
Two Millbrook players are Class C New England champions: Eleanor Sednaoui '13 won at #4 and Amber Koenigsberger '13 won at the #6 slot.
Heidi Reiss '16 finished third at #1, Sayre Reimer '13 finished fifth in the #2 spot, and Julia May '14 finished third at #3. Ellie Hellmers '13 finished fourth at #5, and Storey Schifter '13 notched the fourth spot at #7. Canterbury won and Williston came in third. Ethel Walker was awarded the best sportsmanship award by all the other schools. It was a terrific day at the Millbrook squash pavillion, and many thanks to all who hosted and participated.
