<b>New Turf Field for Millbrook</b>
At its September meeting the Millbrook School Board of Trustees gave the go-ahead for our next campus construction project – a $1.3 million turf field, a hi-tech, state-of-the-art, all-weather, all-season artificial playing field which should be ready for use by Christmas. It is being built on the site of our current girls varsity soccer field (what some more veteran alumni might remember as the football field) and will greatly enhance practice time, game competition and scheduling for all of our athletic teams.
The new field will measure 180’ X 330’, will be permanently marked for regulation field hockey, lacrosse and soccer and will have no impact on nearby sensitive environmental areas according to an evaluation done by the New York State DEC (Department of Environmental Conservation). All at Millbrook are excited for the turf field to be completed. We’ll keep you posted.
