Millbrook 6 Marvelwood 1

Millbrook wore down a determined Marvelwood team, using a deeper bench and superior ball possession to prevail.  In each half, the hosts began slowly but finished with two late goals.  Scorers on the day were Young Uk Kim, Minsu Kim, Alex Coppola, Grayson Voges and Phil Moller (2).  Brock Swartwood played out in the second half and led by example, showing for passes, communicating well, and nearly scoring what would have been the Mustangs' goal of the year, just missing a quickly-taken, long restart ball from Ken O'Friel.  In the second half, the team got to see more of Tyler Flatau, Sebastian Macaya, and Harrison Grymes, all of whom had been out of action recently, and each acqutted himself very well.  Defensively, David Lee, Kevin Tang, Jeremy Widener, Alex Fresne and T.J. Sanders continued to quietly and effectively keep the ball out of the 18 and distribute it well to the wings.
