After a first half in which Millbrook dominated possession but could not put the ball in the net, the hosts came out firing in the second half and scored seven times. The score was not a good reflection of Chase’s fight and determination, but in the end Millbrook’s superior ball control and depth of bench paid off in a late flurry of goals. Two were near carbon copies: Ned Pierrepont brilliantly passing across the box for brother Will Pierrepont to score at the far post, to the delight of a few dozen fans. It was a great team effort with five other players scoring (Zach Fuller, Blake Basye, Brock Swartwood, Sean Hong, and David Kim) and the back four allowed very little action at the Millbrook end.
