Gutsy Performances Help Top Wyverns

After convincing wins from #6 Lucy Li and #7 Neve Winsor put the Mustangs in solid position, #s 5 and 3, Molly Jackson and Skyler Rockwell, followed up with some gritty performances in their matches. Down two games to one, Molly turned things up and was able to finish off her opponent in the final two games. Meanwhile, Skyler provided the match of the afternoon. With every match in the books, Skyler was the last on court and produced some fireworks. Down two games to none, Skyler focused on fundamentals and wore her opponent down slowly but surely and pushed the match to a fifth game. In the back-and-forth, culminating game, Skyler stayed tough and eventually took the match by winning the game 13-11. Overall, the Mustangs played with heart and were happy to leave Kingswood-Oxford with their first win of the season. Roll 'Stangs!
