Late Comeback Not Enough

Millbrook dropped their opening game of the 2014-15 season with a difficult 3-2 loss to a very strong Cushing team. Cushing started fast and put the young Millbrook team on their heels taking a 2-0 lead after one. Millbrook regrouped between periods and settled down in the second period but Cushing was able to add another and took a 3-0 lead into the third. The score remained that way until Peter Konidis was able to cash in on a breakaway with about 3 min to play. Jacob Moreau pulled the Mustangs to 3-2 with just under a minute but Cushing was able to hang on despite a strong Millbrook flurry at the end. Cole Hayward was strong in the nets making 30 saves.
