The varsity field hockey team recovered from a somewhat flat first half to take full control in the second, beating Gunnery 2-0.Gunnery's short, bumpy field took some getting used to, and although we had plenty of opportunities to score in the first half, Millbrook couldn't capitalize. Things improved in the second half as our offense became more organized.Ferrari set up goal number 1 from midfield with a pass to Anthony who centered the ball, and Zublin pounced from the left post and scored at 22:03. Ascencio and Burdis earned assists on the second goal, which came at 17:11 and was scored, again, by Zublin who pounced, yet again, from that left post. The Millbrook defense and midfield played solid ball, denying Gunnery any serious offensive threats.
