Outmanned and Outplayed
Due to illness and college visits, we were short on players today against Canterbury and never quite found our rhythm as a team, despite some impressive individual performances. Teddy Wilson and Oliver Lamb did well to see through their doubles match, in which they took a commanding lead early on, only to feel some real pressure toward the end. Blake Aston notched an impressive victory with some clutch serving, and Teddy Wilson fought his way past his opponent with his usual lethal mix of tenacity and technique.
On a rather depressing note, it was a disappointment to see, despite the fact that this was a home match for us, more supporters present for Canterbury than for Millbrook...
