Successful Massachusetts Road Trip

The golfing Mustangs traveled to Wyantenuck Golf Club to compete against Canterbury and home team Berkshire. The day started beautifully, with the first real golf weather of the season. Andrew Purse earned Medalist honors with a low round of 38. Zach Coppola turned in a strong 4 over par 40.  Cole Hayward won his group with a 42 and Oliver Kish contributed with a 46.  Dylan Scmalz shrugged off his poor performance from last week's debut and turned in a score of 45.  The highlight of the day was Dylan's last hole.  He flew the green with his third shot and landed under a bush.  He was forced to play his fourth left-handed and progressed the ball a foot.  It was just enough room for him to get a club head on and he chipped the ball about 25 feet past the hole.  Dylan nonchalantly approached his putt and drained the 25 footer to save a double bogey and win his group.  The team score of 211 was 15 strokes better than their first outing and bodes well for future matches.
