We went on the road for the 7th time in a row to play Berkshire after getting rained out last week. We had a tough time with the skill of the experienced Berkshire squad and the conditions. It took us a set to figure out the wind, then we made some headway but came up short of winning a few matches. The 1-3 singles proved too good today as we lost in straight sets. At #4 Caroline Reilley '17, rallied to win the second set 6-3 to force a tiebreaker, but her opponent rallied well and took the macth. In doubles, #2 Iona Moir '15 and Daisy Flotron '15 played together for the first time and played a fine second set. Fran Gottwald '16 and Mansell Ambrose '14 also rallied in the second set at #3 doubles but couldn't hold on to force a deciding tiebreaker. Our lone win came at exhibition doubles where Lucy Marquez '15 and Sammy Stroud '15 ended up playing an 8 game pro-set and they pulled out the 9-7 victory. In all, I am proud of the way the girls finished against this very good Berkshire team. We are finally back at home on Wednesday at 4pm against Canterbury.
