BV Hockey Honors Seniors with Blowout Win

Millbrook’s boys varsity hockey team honored its seniors in grand style on Wednesday at Bontecou Rink. Head Coach Vinnie Sorriento took a moment before the game against Hoosac School to thank his graduating class of athletes:

“This group of seniors were not only a fun group to coach, but they were a group that set the tone each day both on and off the ice,” he told the crowd, as the seniors lined up on the goal line. “These 12 young men persevered, led, and most importantly, they represented their school well, consistently embodying the school’s motto, Non Sibi Sed Cunctis. Their tireless work ethic has been a constant throughout their time at Millbrook, and we’ll miss coaching this young group. Coaches Sorriento, Kelley, and Fernandez would like to thank the Class of 2026 and their families for all that they have done and to emphasize that they will forever be a part of the Millbrook hockey tradition.”

Sorriento then introduced each senior, who skated to the blue line to applause from the crowd of their families and friends, and banging sticks from their younger teammates. When the puck dropped, Millbrook proceeded to rout Hoosac, powered by five goals from their seniors: Sam Gero (2x), Brandon Remppel, Michael Rutledge, and Casey Berninger. Senior CJ List added an assist, and Dean Repaci pitched a shutout in goal with seven saves.
