Thirds soccer continued their strong play for a special Grandparents Day game against Gunnery, despite the unusual heat. Gunnery slipped a few plays past the Millbrook defense early on to gain a 2-0 lead, but the the backfield regrouped quickly. Spectators heard shouts of "Hold the line!" from the field as the defense tightened their coverage on the Gunnery forwards. Millbrook ended the half down by one after a goal by John Cronin. Cronin opened the second half with another goal to bring the score to 2-2, and goalkeeper Eddie Laux made several key saves to end the game at a tie.
The team and coaches would like to thank the grandparents who came out to support Millbrook.
