Celebrating the Performing Arts: Scenes, Songs, and Tunes
The Chelsea Morrison Theater in the Holbrook Arts Center came alive on Friday, January 13th with music and acting performances by some of Millbrook's most talented artists.
There's no doubt about it - Millbrook's got talent! And Winter Arts Night showcased our students' talents in musical, vocal, and theatrical group performances. Led by our dedicated performing arts faculty - Ms. Elaine Lifter, Mr. Ed Koch, Mr. Steve Siktbeg, and Ms. Katherine Duke - groups sang, strummed, drummed, and tickled the ivories.
Winter Arts Night is the showcase for the hard work of students in musical and performing arts classes. Guitarists have been learning new techniques in a variety of styles on acoustic and electric guitars while practicing chords, scale patterns, improvisation, finger picking, and much more. Singers have been refining their vocal talents throughout the course of the school year, and many will pursue their interest in music after graduation from Millbrook. Likewise, our advanced actors have been exploring their physical and vocal range while practicing scripted scenes, monologue work, and improvisation.
