Alumnus Edward Opoku '15 Named All-American by NSCAA

Alumnus Edward Opoku '15 was named a Second Team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for his outstanding season with the University of Virginia men's soccer team.

Opoku '15 finished second on his team with six goals in 2016, which included five game-winning scores. He also had two assists, started in 18 matches, and took a team-high of 42 shots on goal throughout the season. He is the 50th athlete to be named All-American in Virginia Men's Soccer history.

During his time as a Millbrook Mustang, Edward scored 80 goals, had 30 assists, and 110 total points (a Millbrook record). He was also a WNEPSSA all-select player each of his 4 years at Millbrook. It is exciting to continue to follow his success at the collegiate level as a Virginia Cavalier.
