Millbrook Triumph!
While the winning score reflects the top 7 ladder matches, Millbrook in actuality played much more. In 12 matches against Berkshire, Millbrook ended with a final score of 7-5, with an additional Millbrook win in a 13th best-of-three match.
While there were many highlights, two particularly notable games stood out.
At number five, Neva faced off against Berkshire’s Hailey. After winning the first two matches, Neva lost some momentum, losing both the third and fourth game by large margins. However, Neva locked in and rose to the challenge to ultimately secure the fifth match at a close 11-9 margin, seizing the victory for Millbrook!
At number three, Frankie faced off against Berkshire’s Elysia for five full games. In game three, the pressure was high, with the score rising all the way to 18-16 before Frankie ultimately triumphed. In game four, it went back to Elysia with a 12-10, but Frankie seized the victory in the 5th game, maintaining momentum to secure an 11-7 final match. I think we were all at the age of our seats as this final game of the day stretched on!
It was an exciting afternoon full of squash!
