Mustangs Sweep Saints

Mr. Dore
The Canterbury Saints traveled to Millbrook on Monday and faced a brick wall. The Mustangs dominated from #1 all the way to #10. While the #8, 9, and 10 matches are exhibition matches, and don't count toward the match score, Nga Ho '26, Finley Kennedy '25, and Ingrid Schmitt '26 each put together solid wins with some disciplined play. To the Mustangs' credit, most players were also asked to move up one ladder position due to Tracy Yin '24 being unavailable to play, and they performed admirably, with #2 through #7 all winning without dropping a game. The match of the day came at the #1 position. Sadie Wilson '25, for the second match in a row, had to overcome a 2-1 deficit. Down 9-6 in the fourth game, Sadie rallied and won the game 12-10. The fifth and deciding game went to Sadie 11-6, another demonstration of her ability to close out a match. Overall, it was a good win for the Mustangs who will take on a tough Kent team on Wednesday at 2:30 PM.
