IMS Game

Brianna Hunt
With our top three players out of the game, the team came into the IMS game with a distinct disadvantage, but rose to the challenge and showed considerable tenacity. All of our players fought hard against higher ranking players than they were originally planning to face, and while we may have lost overall, we came home with 2 wins from our #1 and #7 players.

Danny Widmer, originally planning to play as #4, went on the court at #1 and secured a win against IMS. Frankie Lombardo, playing as #2 rather than #5, may have lost his game, but played an impressive 5 full games against IMS with incredibly close scores in games 3 to 5. Playing as #7, Eloise Sherak, a guest JV player, originally thought she had lost in a best of three match, only to go back on the court when told it was best of 5 with laser focus, winning the last two games and bringing the team our second win of the day.

It was an exciting first game of the season, and we look forward to more to come.
