Millbrook takes down Kent in straight sets
After sluggish starts in games one and two, the Mustangs strong serving proved to be too much for Kent to handle (27-25, 25-14, 25-17).
In game one, Kent forced a second timeout from Millbrook at 19-22. Behind some strong setting and serving from Aly Rosenzweig the mustangs came back to tie it up at 23-23. On game point Emma Levy dug an outside attack, An Tran bump set to the outside, where CC Pessoa put the ball away down the line to take a 1-0 lead. Kent came out firing in game two taking a quick 0-4 lead. Eventually, the Mustangs battled back behind some strong serving to take a 19-14 lead. They would continue to score the next six points to take a 2-0 lead into game three. Kent pulled to within three points a few times in game three, but more strong serving from the Mustangs allowed them to take the match at 3-0.
