Millbrook falls short in first match of the season

The Mustangs lost their first interscholastic match in almost two years in a back and forth four set match (20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 17-25).
Masked up in a scorching gym, the Mustangs shook off the rust of a pandemic-influenced season last fall, dropping the first game to some tough serving from Canterbury. Millbrook looked a bit more aggressive in game 2 behind a six serve run from Evelynn Najork to even up the match. In the final two sets it was Canterbury who produced the longer run of serves, ultimately fending off the comeback runs of the Mustangs. Millbrook takes the court next at Hamden Hall on Wednesday, September 22 at 4:30.
