The team hosted a very strong Berkshire squad without our #1 player Yassin who was competing at the US Open Championships in Boston.
Overall the team performed extremely well, raising the level of their games to hang tough with our opponents. All matches were lost 3-0, except for our Captain, Bud Fisher, who played the match of his life. His opponent was rated 4.7, considerably higher than Bud's 4.3 but our #1 player stunned the home crowd with filthy volleys and penetrating drives, outpacing his opponent in spectacular fashion coming from behind to win 3-2.
