Mustangs Nip Bearcats in Home Opener

In yet another game that saw at least three Mustangs score in double figures and have a lead at half time, Millbrook used a 14-4 run down in the final four minutes to win their home opener 61-49 against Class A opponent, Hotchkiss. After much of a nip and tuck first half, Millbrook built an eight point lead heading into the break. Despite strong efforts and a couple of runs from a talented Hotchkiss squad, Millbrook never trailed in the second half. Sharp free throw shooting and timely rebounding down the stretch resulted in that aforementioned 14-4 run to close out the game. A special thanks to everyone who came out to make Wray Gymnasium a rocking atmosphere for our home opener! What a great home court advantage! The win moves Millbrook to 6-3 overall on the season. Your Mustangs will be back in action at home tomorrow at 6 pm against Class AA opponent, Masters CT.
