Mustangs Drop OT Game to Class B Favorites

Millbrook made the trip back to Thompson, CT on Saturday for an early season Class B road game at Marianapolis Prep. In a game that set offensive basketball back decades at moments, Millbrook showed grit and feistiness against a rugged and talented Marianpolis Prep. Thought to be one of the favorites in Class B this year, Marianapolis features multiple college basketball players. Millbrook showed that they have multiple college-bound 'Stangs, as well. After a back and forth affair, Millbrook came up with a huge stop in the waning seconds of regulation to the send the game to overtime. This was their third extra period in two games. Alas, the boys in white could not find the necessary offensive mojo in the overtime period and came up short to the tune of a 49-44 final. This places Millbrook at 2-1 overall and 1-1 in Class B.
