Millbrook Shutout by Sacred Heart

While the majority of Western New England schools chose to not play today due to expected torrential downpour and hurrican-force winds (all of which never happened), the Lady Mustangs boarded the buses and headed south to take on Sacred Heart. The first half saw much of the battle take place in the middle thrid of the field with both teams having 2 shots and 2 corners apiece; the only difference was Sacred Heart netted a goal in the first half and Millbrook didn't.  Millbrook openned the 2nd half with a couple of good looks, but Heart's defensive line held strong.  Heart would eventually add an insurance goal with 15 minutes to play to put the game out of reach.

The girls and coaches would like to thank the parents who made it to the game and could be heard loudly across the field.  We would also like to thank the Van Duynes and Barringers for providing hot chocolate, donuts and assorted other snacks to take the cold chill off of the player's minds.

Next up, a long drive for an match-up against an old foe, Wilbraham Munson.
