Math Instructor

Millbrook School seeks a full-time math teacher capable of teaching algebra through calculus, beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year. Millbrook’s Math Department develops equally the skills of understanding and imagination and inspires students to see math as, fundamentally, a creative quest.  Combining centuries-old methods of construction with compass and straight-edge and current online programs such as Desmos, teachers inspire students to ask, discover, and verify what they know and why.
We seek educators who value creating inclusive classrooms and curricula and who are committed to their continued growth as educators. Prior teaching experience is preferred. A bachelor's degree in math or a related field and strong communication skills are required. Coaching and teaching experience is preferred. In addition to teaching four sections, this position includes coaching or supervising an afternoon program for two out of three seasons, serving as an advisor for up to six students.

Full-time faculty members are also expected to participate in community service, evening responsibility, activities, and assemblies, and attend required meetings and workshops. The primary goal of a teaching faculty member is to ensure that each student achieves the highest potential possible.   Housing may be provided and would bring with it residential life duties.  Energy for adolescents, adaptability, humor, and integrity are the hallmarks of Millbrook's faculty.

Salary range for this teaching position is $41,000 - $90,000.  When determining placement in the salary range, Millbrook School considers total teaching experience, number of years working at Millbrook School, and other factors permitted by law.
