Millbrook celebrated its first "Friday Night Lights" game at Callard Field with a solid win over visiting Forman School.  Much of the Millbrook student body was present to cheer on the Mustangs towards their win.
Forman School visited Callard Field to face the Mustangs in the first "Friday Night Lights" game.  This was the last home game for the senior members of the Millbrook team.  After a lovely rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" by IV form student Grace Ashford, the Mustangs took the field to face Forman School.

The Mustangs were first on the scoreboard at 8:27 remaining in the 1st quarter with a 3 yard TD run by QB Mac Elliott, with a following 2-point conversion reception by WR Ashton Colangelo.  Next, Millbrook scored on a 70 yard TD reception from QB Mac Elliott to WR Matt Sardo at 2:16 remaining in the 1st quarter.  The ensuing 2-point conversion attempt was successful on a pass from QB Mac Elliott to TE Freddy Hamilton.  The score at this point was Millbrook 16, Forman 0.  At 11:15 remaining in the 2nd quarter, QB Mac Elliott scored on a 4 yard TD run, with SR Ethan Kessler making a successful 2-point conversion reception after a 5-yard penalty against the Mustangs.  The Mustang defense next scored on a 30-yard interception touchdown by CB Ethan Kessler with 9:39 remaining in the 2nd quarter.  The 2-point conversion was successfully made by RB Nolan Cadieux on a run play.   The last scoring in the 2nd quarter occurred when RB Nolan Cadieux scored on a 4 yard TD run with 0:26 left in the 1st half.  RB Cadieux made a 2-point conversion on a run play to bring the halftime score at Millbrook 40, Forman 0.

In the 2nd half, the Mustangs scored 2 touchdowns, the first at 10:41 remaining in the 3rd quarter on a 40 yard TD run by RB Nolan Cadieux.  TE Freddy Hamilton made the 2-point conversion on a pass reception.  The last touchdown was scored by RB Rocco Boland on a 2 yard TD run.   Forman scored with 8:30 left in the 4th quarter on a 20 yard TD run, with a 2-point conversion.   The final score was Millbrook 54, Forman 8.

The Millbrook defense was very effective with the team swarm tackling on many plays. This made it difficult to assign tackling statistics to individual members of the team. The Mustang defense was led by LB Nolan Cadieux with 6 tackles, and other tackling leaders were CB Ethan Kessler, CB Ashton Colangelo, LB Rocco Boland, and DT Jason Weiss.  Other Mustang tacklers were FS Matt Sardo, SS Mac Elliott, CB Nico Brevetti, Jose Gonzalez, DT Johnny Rigolino, Jack Rexhouse, CB Aaron Jean-Francois, and K Thomas Kruijtzer.  CB Ethan Kessler made 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery.

The Millbrook offensive line was instrumental in providing key blocks which facilitated Mustang scoring.  Key linemen were C Jason Weiss, G Johnny Rigolino, and G Gabe Gersten. TE Freddy Hamilton also provided strong blocking for the Mustangs when not running receiving routes.

The Mustang offense was led by WR Matt Sardo with 90 yards receiving, QB Mac Elliott with 80 yards rushing, and RB Nolan Cadieux with 70 yards rushing.  Additional Mustang offense was generated by RB Rocco Boland with 50 yards rushing, Carl Posse with 25 yards receiving, Freddy Hamilton with 25 yards receiving, Eli Crystal with 20 yards receiving, QB David Gersten with 10 yards rushing, and SR Ethan Kessler with 15 yards receiving.

The Mustangs next travel to Frederick Gunn School to play in a night game at 6 pm, Saturday, November 6.
