Kent School Dual Meet

The weather aligned perfectly on yet another Saturday of racing.  This particular day, the Millbrook Mustangs took on Kent School in an away dual meet.  Kent’s cross country course is formidable, and the race itself was spirited and fun.  All of Millbrook’s runners ran well – and fast – and performed their best all season.  Matt Dale took first place in 17:02 and set a new course record, outpacing the second and third place Kent runners by over a minute.  Jack Evans, who looked smooth and relaxed despite the rugged terrain, took fourth place overall (19:07).  Forrest Schmitt had a dramatic kick at the finish, notching seventh place (19:55), and Hugh McLaughlin was not far behind in ninth place (19:58).  The final Millbrook runner to score for the team on the day was Stewart Corona (23:13), notching 21st place overall.  Millbrook lost this tight race, but should be proud of their individual and collective finishes.
