An accomplished musician and artist, Joe has more than 20 years of teaching experience. Now in his second decade of service at Millbrook, he leads Millbrook’s Art Department with infectious passion.
Joe received a B.A. in studio art from Swarthmore College in 2005 and a master’s in music education from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He has composed, recorded, and mastered three full-length albums and built a massive YouTube following through his engaging piano tutorials. He has taught at public and independent schools, including Lawrence Academy and Marvelwood School before settling at Millbrook.
Campus music has flourished under Joe. He founded the inter-boarding school a cappella singing competition Golden Lips, and he leads the Millbrook Singers as they perform on and off campus. In addition to music, he teaches visual art and a computer programming elective.
