The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey Team lost 0-3 at Sacred Heart on Saturday. The game was intense for the first two thirds of the half, with fast play back and forth. With 9:45 left to go in the first, though, Sacred Heart took a quick start on a penalty corner and caught Millbook off guard. The Mustangs weren't set and didn't even contest the Sacred Heart shot. Unfortunately, Millbrook let this surprising turn of events deflate its intensity, and Sacred Heart was able to capitalize with another goal before the half. While Millbrook did some good things in the second half, the Mustangs were not able to score, and Sacred Heart notched one more to get the 3-0 win. Kudos to Kayla Schmalz '14 for her hustle. In addition, Eliza Chapman '12, who had to come out of the game after getting hit in the mouth with a ball and having her lip split open, went right back in and was her typical tough, rock-solid self at center back. The Mustangs look to rebound at home on Wednesday against Gunnery.
