Millbrook Drops 0-8 Game at Greenwich Academy

The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey Team dropped a tough 0-8 game at perennial powerhouse Greenwich Academy on Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs came out fiesty and stifled the GA attack for much of the opening half. However, despite another excellent game from keeper A.B. Fuscone '12 (who notched an astounding 28 saves in the game), Millbrook could not hold off GA's offense forever, and eventually GA started finding the back of the cage. GA amassed 20 penalty corners over the course of the game, but fine defensive play from flyer Cate MacKenzie '15 and trailer Eliza Chapman '12 meant that almost all of the corners were for naught. The Mustangs got some offense going in the second half, but not enough. Still, the team's hustle--even on a very hot day--was admirable.
