Millbrook Drops Season Opener to NMH

The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey Team (0-1) dropped its season opener to Northfield Mount Hermon, 0-3, in a contest played at Williams College. Though the teams were about even in shots and penalty corners, the difference in the game was that NMH was able to finish its shots while the Mustangs could not. NMH scored twice in the first few minutes of the game and then again at the start of the second half. The Mustangs had many chances, especially in the second half, but the ball didn't find the back of the cage. The midfield line of Kayla Schmalz '14, Maddie Schmalz '13, and Cate MacKenzie '15 played well, as all three played every minute of the game and hustled the whole time. Goalkeeper BooBoo Fuscone '12 made some nice saves as well.
